Family Todo

Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Family Todo ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Who can use the app

Family Todo is intended for use by families. You must be at least 18 years old to create a family account and subscribe. Child profiles within the app are created and managed by a parent or guardian, not by the child directly.

By using the app on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child and that you consent to the child's use of the app under your supervision.

3. What the app does

Family Todo lets parents set up weekly task schedules for their children. Children can view their tasks and record short videos to mark tasks as complete. Videos are transferred directly between devices on your local Wi-Fi network and are not uploaded to any cloud server.

4. Subscription

Trial period. When you first install the app, you may use it without a subscription. When prompted, you can start a 3-day trial period before a subscription is required.

Paid subscription. After the trial period, a subscription is required to continue using the app. Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store. The current price is shown on the subscription screen within the app and may vary by region.

Family coverage. One subscription covers all devices in your family. When one parent subscribes, all parent and child devices linked to the same family are unlocked.

Renewals and cancellations. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period unless cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Billing handled by Apple. All billing is handled by Apple. We do not store or process payment information. For billing disputes or refund requests, contact Apple Support.

5. Parental responsibility

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children's use of the app, ensuring that content created within the app is appropriate, and managing child profiles and access. You are responsible for any content your children create or interact with through the app.

6. Videos and content

Task completion videos are stored locally on your devices and transferred over your local network. We do not have access to your videos. You are responsible for the content of any videos recorded through the app. Do not record or store content that is illegal, harmful, or inappropriate.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Anonymous authentication

The app uses anonymous authentication. Each device gets a randomly generated user ID. There is no username or password to recover if you lose access to your device. You can pair new devices to your existing family using the QR code shown in the parent settings.

9. Service availability

We aim to keep the app running reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will provide reasonable notice and cease billing.

10. Intellectual property

All content in the app (design, task templates, branding) is owned by Klaus Jakobsen. You may not reproduce or distribute any part of the app without written permission.

Content you create within the app (family name, child display names, task completion records, videos) remains yours.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or meet your specific requirements.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Klaus Jakobsen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts.
